Psalm 116:12
New International Reader's Version
12 The Lord has been so good to me!
How can I ever pay him back?
The Lord certainly has been good. In my 70 years on this earth, I have been blessed to experience miraculous healings, provisions, protections, dreams and visions, and other wonders. He has given me testimony after testimony of His power, love, and goodness. As the song says, “He is just too good to not believe.”
It’s hard to know where to start when there are so many stories to tell. Should I write about the time the Lord healed my back in the night? Maybe I should tell the story of how I dreamed a white hand entered into the bottom of my foot, went up to my knee, did something like it was doing a repair, and the next morning my knee didn’t hurt anymore. He healed of a Aric condition when the pediatric cardiologist told us that “those things don’t ever get better, so it’s not a question of if he needs heart surgery, only a matter of when.” He fixed Andrew’s sinuses during a “crusade” service before the speaker ever took the stage.
Then, there are those stories of supernatural protection. In “junior high,” I was protected while walking home from school. I was protected when I was driving on a two lane highway in Iowa with a car coming toward me in the other lane and hit a bad patch of ice, losing control of the car. What happened next was truly miraculous. I remember thinking that my life was about to end because of that car coming straight for me and there was nothing I could do to avoid it. I was also protected from a deer that should have hit my car right at the driver’s side door, but didn’t. I still don’t know how I got into the other lane. I just know that my steering wheel suddenly whipped to the right, and I was in the other lane. When I looked for it, the deer was nowhere to be seen.
Finally, there are those dreams and visions. The Lord has shown me incredible things through dreams in the night and visions during the day. I still remember the one I had when I was just a young child just starting school. I’ll never forget the time that my friend, her mother-inlaw, and I all had the same dream about a tornado with a few days of each other. When I went to church the next Sunday and told my friend about my dream, she told me she had also dreamed about a tornado, and that her mother-in-law had called her because she had dreamed a “tornado” dream during that week as well.
There are many, many stories to tell. The Lord has certainly been good to me. As the Bible verse says, “How can I ever repay Him?” One way is testify of His goodness and share my experiences with others. What an incredible, powerful, and Mighty God He is. He is just too good of a God to not share Him with others. I can only hope that my personal experiences will help others develop a relationship with Him so that they too can experience His mighty power and everlasting love.
He is just too good to not believe in Him and a relationship with Him is too good not to share with others. He’s a Wonder-Working God.
